Brinton Darlington Letterbook, 1871-1872

This is the letterbook of Brinton Darlington (1804-1872), agent for the Cheyenne-Arapaho tribes, and contains copies of letters sent out from the agency. They are all on official business, mostly signed by Darlington, but some of the later ones were signed by Jonathan D. Miles, acting agent.

Bruce McAllister papers, 1981-1991

Scope and Contents Author Bruce McAllister researched the subject of stress-induced extra sensory perception (ESP) and the possibility of a CIA project rumored to have existed during the Vietnam Conflict in which possible uses of mind control were explored. He also gathered accounts of ESP experiences from numerous Vietnam veterans and contacted various government agencies (American and Vietnamese) for information. C. T. Wells diary, 1878-1879

Scope and Contents

This is an account of a fifteen day trip by horse and wagon from Mulberry, Franklin County, Arkansas, to Arkansas City Kansas by C. T. Wells and companions. There is a mention of George Perryman, a few places recorded, and some brief descriptions of various Indian agencies and the appearance of the country, forests and prairies; for example it does indicate the appearance of the prairie around Muskogee had not changed much between the 1830s’ and 1878.
